Hi everyone! I know that I’ve been complaining alot about health issues lately, but this specific post will have nothing to do about that!
I made some progress on my $1000 Unclutter Challenge that I previously posted about. I’ve been uncluttering my house like crazy and I had a garage sale last weekend and I made $220! Not bad. I still have a long way to go to complete this challenge successfully, and I’m running out of months! But I’m still working on it.
I am a bit upset though. The purpose of the garage sale was to get rid of stuff. Unfortunately, while I was at home with my garage sale, my husband and daughter went out and visited other peoples’ garage sales. My town actually hosts an annual large-scale garage sale so there were a bunch of households participating on the same day. And of course, they came home with $75 worth of other people’s stuff and brought it all into my home. *sigh* I can’t win.
Anyhow, I did get the husband to agree to get rid of the treadmill that doesn’t work! Woo! And… I found someone that wants it, knowing full-well that it doesn’t work but they want to try to fix it up. They’ll get it for free, since it’s unknown if it will actually work again. So it won’t count as $$$ towards my challenge, BUT, I’m still happy about it because it’s leaving my house!
My only problem is that the treadmill is upstairs and it’s stupid-heavy, and our staircase is a weird angle and nobody really knows how to move the treadmill downstairs so it can be picked-up. We’ve been stumped by this for about 2 weeks now. I might not be able to get rid of it after all. 🙁
So anyway, that’s my other news for right now. Too bad I don’t have anything more interesting to share with you. What have you all been up to? 🙂
The treadmill is one of the few things that I actually use and I bought mine used for $200! What a steal! I hadn’t been using it for a couple of months but started using again. I track my steps and upload it to Twitter to keep myself accountable.
My husband is similar where he goes to second hand shops and drags stuff home. I’ve been purging stuff slowly and he hasn’t noticed that I threw out a broken light and a few of his wires a few days ago which he wasn’t using anyways. 🤫
Oh gosh, I need some accountability to start doing my steps again! I prefer being outside is why I wouldn’t use the treadmill anymore, and I’m fortunate to live somewhere where being outside can be comfortable most days. Lol, omg I have boxes full of WIRES! I was thinking of throwing them away too. I think we don’t use them anymore because of wi-fi, right? *shrug* I don’t know.
I hold myself accountable by posting on Twitter. Even if nobody sees it or likes it, I post it anyways. I’ve been using the Pikmin Bloom app by Nintendo (it’s free) to track steps since November 2021. It’s synced with my iPhone so I don’t have to be a slave to my iPhone anymore! 🙂 This week the weather is nice so I’ve been spending more time outdoors, but on days when I didn’t get enough steps or the weather is crap, I have to get my remaining steps on the treadmill. I aim for 8000 steps a day which is enough steps for me. My husband gets 12000+ steps a day!
If you’re looking for an accountability buddy, feel free to DM me anytime on Twitter.
8000 steps is darn good!!! I added you to my list on Twitter so I can find you so easy now! I love you, my friend. 🙂
Aww, thank you so much! I just got your notification. I feel special being added to your list and I didn’t know that making lists was a thing on Twitter. I learned something new today! Thanks, friend! ☺️🤗
Is there a window in the room where the treadmill is? We may or may not have lowered a couch or two out a window to avoid narrow staircases in our day… 😀
Oh gosh that sounds SCARY too! Lol, I don’t think we have a window big enough for it actually – it’s a very awkward shape. 🙁
How did you get it up there?
Lol I don’t know. We had it already when we moved into this house and professional movers did it for us. I didn’t see them do it. It just magically showed up there. 🙂
I had a great but exhausting weekend 🙂
